Museum of Design AtlantaMuseum of Design Atlanta Atlanta is fortunate to house the only museum in the entire Southeast dedicated to "the study and celebration of all things design." An added bonus is that admission to the museum is free. Their opening events are always a happening party for hipsters. Composition GalleryComposition Gallery Located on McLendon Ave, Composition Gallery displays work by contemporary photographers. The ContemporaryThe Contemporary The Contemporary's exhibitions "explore current ideas, attitudes and new directions in contemporary artistic expression." Admission to the gallery is also highly affordable at a mere $3 for students and $5 for general admission. The Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott CollegeThe Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott College Located in Decatur, Agnes Scott College's Dalton Gallery hosts exhibitions and art events each year, often providing the opportunity for visitors to speak with the artists whose work is being shown. Davis Waldron GalleryDavis Waldron Gallery One of the very few galleries owned by women, the Davis Waldron gallery displays mostly photographic work and combines fine art with, "intriguing furniture and decorative objects to create a vintage-modern and sculptural style." EyedrumEyedrum A gallery space that not only displays contemporary works of visual art, but also holds several music events each month. Downloadable podcasts of their monthly radio show are also available on their site. Another highlight of this festival is the Kids Village, offering children the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts events and face painting, along with a number of other fun activities.
